History of Nether Alderley Primary School

Nether Alderley Primary School first opened it's doors on the current site back in 1822.

The original school building was built by the Stanley estate and was originally only for boys - a separate girls school was located at St Mary's Church (now the church hall).

The numbers of pupils attending the school has increased over time and the original building has been modified and extended many times. In 2001, after many years of pupils being taught in mobile classrooms, a brand new teaching block was built.
